Since 1984, Margaret Buchen has shown her prints, paintings and mixed media works in over fifty group and solo exhibitions, including Margaret Buchen, Recent Work, Action Shots and Still Pictures; Concordia University Chicago; River Forest, 2011; The Harper College Faculty Exhibition, Harper College, Palatine, 2009 and 2007; Faculty Exhibition, 2007, Harrington College of Design, Chicago; ON THE MARK: Chicago Printmakers Collaborative 1989 – 2005, Chicago Cultural Center, 2005, curated by Lanny Silverman; and the Harrington Foundations Faculty Exhibit, Wood Street Gallery, Chicago, 2004. In October, 2005, she was a featured artist on WZRD, 88.3 FM for her work in the ON THE MARK: Chicago Printmakers Collaborative 1989 – 2005. Her work is included in the University Art Museum, California State University, Long Beach public collection, and in private collections. In 1999, she was the recipient of both a Project Assistance Grant from the Illinois Arts Council and a Community Arts Assistance Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
Her work will be displayed in Morton College from June 11th through July 28th. Building C. First floor, across from the book store. Monday through Thursday 8 am – 4:30 pm.
